Using Power Automate to Nurture users in Power BI and Fabric

Description

Most governance solutions are great at telling you what users have done. Far fewer help you celebrate what they’ve achieved and guide them towards what’s next. In this session, we’ll explore how the Fabric User Activity Monitoring (FUAM) framework can be extended with Power Automate to become less of a hall monitor and more of a cheerleader. Published a first Power BI report? Gold star. Built a first Lakehouse? Congratulations! Created a Warehouse? Time to celebrate and point them towards their next achievement.

Using Power Automate, we’ll show how Fabric activity data can be transformed into meaningful milestones that trigger personalised emails, guidance, learning resources, and next-step recommendations. Rather than waiting for users to get stuck or lose momentum, we’ll use governance data to encourage, support, and nurture them throughout their Fabric journey.

You’ll leave with practical ideas for turning monitoring into mentoring. By recognising achievements, providing timely encouragement, and guiding users towards their next milestone, you can help transform curious newcomers into confident Fabric champions. Sometimes, a simple pat on the back is all it takes to turn a first-time user into your next power user.
